How to Enter Safe Mode on an Asus Eee PC

The safe mode option of the Asus Eee PC's operating system enables you to perform system maintenance on the computer without interaction from outside programs. While in safe mode, Windows will open a limited number of drivers, which will stop other programs and utilities from
opening. Use the safe mode feature to delete software that will not uninstall or burn a CD without errors. The operating system will automatically turn off safe mode as soon as you restart the computer.

Instructions

  • 1Restart the Asus Eee PC.
  • 2Press and hold the "F8" key once the boot messages start to appear on the computer to access the "Advanced Boot Options Menu."
  • 3 Highlight the "Enter Safe Mode" option in the menu and press "Enter" to enter safe mode
