How To Unregister a Domain Name

An Internet Protocol address is converted to simpler English terms or words by the Domain Name System. These converted or translated words are the ones you are used to seeing when you use the Internet. It is actually just like your phone book entries. Each Domain Name is linked to a certain IP address that is located online. They are also referred to as “domains.” The domain owners are the registrants for the domain names. However, having it registered with the registrar will not confer legal ownership for the particular domain name. It would just give you exclusivity in the rights to use it.

Registering a domain name is actually easy. Just be sure that you are also able to manage your registered domain name well. All you have to do is to visit any official registrar online. Type the domain name that you would prefer and make sure that you follow rules when it comes to format and name. If your preferred name is already taken, then type a new one. Take note of the filing fees that you have to pay and be ready to give your credit card details. There are also cases where someone wants a domain name already taken by someone else. In these cases, you may try to reach the owner and make an offer to just buy it. Also, on occasion, there may be a need for you to unregister the domain name because of personal or legal reasons. In having a domain name unregistered, the move must be made with the particular registrar presently holding the registration of that domain name. Read the instruction below to find out how it is done.

#Log in. Go online and log in or enter Internet service wherein the domain name has been registered.
# Click “Domain Manager.” You will see on the menu of the primary website a “Domain Manager” option. Just click it. Right-click on the particular domain name you would want to have unregistered.
# Delete. Click on the “Delete” button on its following screen.
# Delete the domain name. Click on “Delete Domain.” Press “Continue” to proceed with the unregistering of your domain. Within twenty minutes, you will see that the domain has been unregistered.
