How To Add Google News to the Google Toolbar

A majority of Internet users prefer the Web browser Google. And this is not surprising as Google, with its many innovations, has been the undisputed leader in virtually everything concerning the World Wide Web. Furthermore, Google lets its users customize the Google Web browser user interface window, which in turn allows the adding of various useful applications. This article will teach us how to add Google News to the Google Toolbar to get the latest updates on local and international news without having to search for them on the Web every time.

1. Download the Google Toolbar if you do not have it on your computer yet. Download Google Toolbar onto your Web browser of choice. Downloading Google Toolbar requires certain versions of Web browsers. For Internet Explorer users, you must have the Internet Explorer 6 or higher versions. Meanwhile, Mozilla Firefox users have to have the Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher version on their computers. Now, to download Google Toolbar, simply go to the official Web site and click on the Install Google Toolbar button found at the right hand portion of the window. Once you click this, you will be required to read the Google Terms of Service. If you are agree to the terms, click on the Agree and Install button. Click on the Install Now button on the Software Installation dialog box that pops up for the download and installation of Google Toolbar to commence automatically.
2. Restart your Web browser of choice. After downloading Google Toolbar successfully, you will be required to close and reopen your choice of Web browser. When you pull up your Web browser again, you should now see the Google Toolbar displayed on upper part of your Web browser's user interface window.
3. Select Google News from among the Google applications presented. To do so, click on the Search tab on the toolbar. A dropdown menu should pop up when you do so. Highlight and select Google News by clicking on it once. The Search for news articles icon represented by a colorful folded newspaper should now appear on the Google Toolbar.
4. Look for the Google News Feeds button from the Google Toolbar Button Gallery. Another useful source of news would be through the Google News Feeds application. Type in toolbar.google.com buttons into the address field of your Web browser and hit Enter on your computer keyboard. Once on the Google Toolbar Button Gallery, go to the News section. Right beside it is the clickable link View All News. Click on this to get more results for Google buttons. Scroll the Web page down and look for the item Google News Feeds. Once on this item, you will have to click on the Add to Toolbar button. A dialog box pops up prompting you to confirm the process. Simply click on the Add button for the download to commence. The Google News Feeds button will be positioned right beside the Google News button.

Just click on the Google News button when you want to be updated on the latest local news. Google News Feeds, on the other hand, will keep you posted on the most recent happenings in the international arena.
