How To Create MSN Group Storage

MSN Group is a social networking site that allows members to share and/or exchange calendars, photographs, and documents and gives members the opportunity to engage in instant messaging. It also gives a group their own email address. MSN Group is part of the Microsoft Network. It is a separate website that allows users to create communities and invite other users to join their communities. Each community is automatically given 30MB of storage space, which is suitable to handle high resolution files. This allows members to share large files and photographs. Members can upload photographs and documents by creating albums and folders within their own group’s site. Take a look at the tips on how to create MSN group storage.

* Log in to your MSN Group account. If you are an administrator for the group you have access to all the files that are uploaded by the group members and you have the right to manage the use of the group’s storage space and delete files that may be detrimental to other users as well as those that violate the terms and conditions of the community.
* If you are a member of the community you will be able to create a folder and upload your documents and photographs that you want to share and exchange with the other members of your MSN group.
* Give a label to your folder. It should be something catchy that will describe the contents of the folders. Make sure that your folder does not have a duplicate label with the other folders or albums created by other group users. This will help to easily identify your album from several folders available.

* You can add additional descriptions to the folder or album and set some restrictions and permissions. You may have a number of friends that you may allow to edit, delete and upload photos to your album but prevent others from doing so. Do note that these restrictions are not applicable to group administrators.
* Follow the instructions on how you can upload your photographs and other files into the folder or album that you have created. Look for options for batch uploading so you can upload several files at once.
* Once uploaded check if the album was created successfully. This will be confirmed when a page opens that will show your album. Review the photographs that you have uploaded and see if all of these can be view by every member of the community. Delete those that you think may not be suitable for public viewing and create another folder and set permissions for it. Send messages to your friends to view your newly uploaded photographs.

MSN Group offers flexibility to its users. You have the choice to make your group public where anyone can join and share information. You can also choose to make it a private group and create a database of members by invitation only. Whichever way you want to create your group and build your membership, make sure that all members adhere to the rules when it comes to uploading materials into storage folders. These are made available for the members to use and explore but not to abuse. Also note that MSN group is now part of Windows Live.
