How To Repair Internet Explorer 5

Are you still using Internet explorer 5? If you do then you may be familiar with some problems that would sometimes occur while using it. Having a dysfunctional Internet browser could be very annoying especially if you don’t know how to fix it. However, here are some basic steps that you can do to make your browser work well. Microsoft has a tool that can help you fix these problems.

* First step. Turn on the computer then click on the “start” button. Then the menu will show all the tabs. Look and select the control panel. Once the entire menu has shown, select the tab “add/remove programs.”
* Second step. After you chose the “add/remove programs” tab scroll down to find the Internet explorer 5 and tools. You can double-click that icon to select it. Then the box will show three kinds of options.
* Third step. Once the three options appear, choose “repair Internet Explorer” then click that button. After that, you must select the “ok” button and click on it.
* Fourth step. There would be another option to “restore the previous configuration.” Click on this option to keep the proper configuration and settings of your computer. You may also choose “advance” option to specify the other programs that you would want to remove. Then follow up with the next step.
* Fifth step. Another box will appear; select “yes” to confirm the changes made. After you have clicked “yes,” the repair process for Internet Explorer 5 will start. Let the process continue until it is finished, then another box will appear. The final box will show up on the screen asking you to restart the computer then just click “yes” to finish the repair process.
* Important things. Once you decided to uninstall Internet Explorer 5, you must first quit all the running programs on the computer. It can cause some problems if you don’t close all the tabs and windows that are still running when you uninstall the browser. You must also have the privilege as the computer administrator to install and uninstall Internet Explorer 5 in Windows. Once you uninstall the Internet Explorer 5, it may lose its entry on the list installed. This circumstance happens because the information in the registry may be removed too. You may reinstall the Internet Explorer 5 to restore the browser.
* Other issues. There are other considerations you will need to know when uninstalling Internet Explorer 5. Learn about these issues so you won’t be puzzled later on. After you uninstall this Internet browser the certificate of the program is removed as well. When the new certificate has been added, a dialog box will notify you that the old certificate will be lost once you continue. However, you will be given an option whether you would want to continue or not. It will also provide you an option to export the new certificate to the file manually. Remember there are some files that won’t work properly once you uninstall the Internet Explorer 5. Therefore, it is better to install it again.
