How To Transfer Bookmarks from Netscape to Firefox

Firefox is one of the most popular web browsers in the world today. There are various features, add-ons and plug-ins in Firefox that allow you to customize your web browser whichever way you like. Because of this, Firefox has grown in popularity. Firefox is also considered as one of the most stable and one of the fastest web browsers. If you are using Netscape and want to switch to Firefox, here’s how.

* Consider add-ons. First of all, you should determine whether you really want to make the switch or not. There are some people who simply want to switch from Netscape to Firefox because they like the Firefox interface better. If the interface is all that you want, you can always simply choose add-ons that allow you to get a Netscape web browser that looks like Mozilla Firefox. To be able to do this, all you need to do is to visit the Netscape website and download the plug-in for a Firefox interface. You can use the search bar in the Netscape website to be able to easily find the appropriate add-on.
* Site controls. Once you have downloaded the appropriate add-on, you will need to go to the Site Controls view in Netscape. Once here, you should be able to find the tab for the add-ons in Netscape. In the tab, search for the Firefox interface add-on. Once you have found this, you should be able to simply click the button and then click the "OK" button to confirm your choice .the add-on will then be installed in your web browser. The browser should be restarted, so that all changes will be implemented in your web browser.

* Download Firefox. If you are determined to use Firefox as your web browser, however, you should start by downloading the Firefox installer. The Firefox installer is free, because Firefox is from the Mozilla Corporation, which produces open source software that are free for distribution and use anywhere. To be able to find the installer, simply go to the Mozilla website, where you will find a large button that gives you the option to download the installer. Click this button, and wait for the download to finish.
* Install. Once you have downloaded Firefox, simply right click on the file and then run it. An installation wizard will automatically pop up on the screen, and this will guide you through the entire installation process.
* Import. Once Firefox has been installed in your computer, open the program by clicking on its icon on your desktop or on the start menu. Afterwards, click on the file button on the upper part of the screen. After clicking the File button, you should be able to find an Import command in the menu list. Click this and a dialog box will appear, with a list of the web browsers installed in your computer. Select Netscape, and start the importation process. The bookmarks that you have saved in Netscape will automatically be transferred to your computer.

With these steps in mind, you should be able to easily transfer bookmarks from Netscape to Firefox. This way, you will no longer have to visit the websites manually and then add a new bookmark for each one.
