How To Remove a Monster Virus from PC

A monster virus is simply a term that is used to describe a virus infection that has grown out of hand in your computer. there are now thousands upon thousands of computer viruses out in existence today, lurking in infected websites, infected servers, infected computers, and even your USB flash drive. If you want to remove a monster virus from your PC, here are some steps that you should follow.

* Download an antivirus. First of all, you need to download an antivirus. There are free and paid antivirus programs. Generally, paid antivirus programs have more features, but most of the free versions work equally well. The key is to choose your antivirus program based on the quality of the software vendor. Some of the best manufacturers that you should be on the lookout for are Avast, AVG, and Avira. Simply go their website and click the download button for the free versions, or the paid versions if you are willing to spend a couple of dollars for the software.
* Install. Once you have clicked on the download button, the antivirus application installer should automatically download. Simply wait for the download to finish. Remember, the application can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes to download, depending on your Internet connection speed. After it has downloaded, simply right click the file and then click “run.” this will install the program into your computer. Follow the installation wizard that comes with the antivirus installer. Make sure, however, that you only install one antivirus at a time. A computer should not have two antivirus engines running at the same time. Since these have different heuristic and detection engines, the two will conflict with each other.
* Scan. Next, begin scanning the computer. The antivirus program will usually ask if you want to scan your system. Run a full scan that includes the system memory and the running processes in the computer, as well as all of the files in all the hard drives. If you install Avast, choose the boot time scan. After the antivirus has finished scanning, click on the heal or move to vault button, so that all of the infected files will be quarantined. Keep in mind, however, that this can take several hours of scanning.
* Download a malware detector. Although it is not advisable for you to install two antivirus programs at the same time, you can install other applications such as malware detectors. Two of the best and most popular malware detectors are Super Anti-Spyware and Malwarebytes. You can install the free versions of these at the same time, and then run them one after the other. These malware detectors will scour your computer for malicious files that have been downloaded from the Internet, as well as some types of virus that your antivirus program has not detected.

If your computer is too heavily infected with monster viruses that will not allow you to even download a filed or connect to the Internet, or install a program, you should consider reformatting your computer. Make sure that you transfer all of your important files to an external hard disk before doing this. With these in mind, you should be able to remove monster viruses from your PC.
