How To Delete Websites on the Location Bar

Web browsers are becoming more and more advanced. Not only do they allow you to visit websites on the Internet, but they can also store information about your surfing activities. Some of these can be very useful, while some of these can also be very annoying. One of the common features that most web browsers have is the ability to store website addresses on the location bar. This is usually used to make it easier for the user to go to a particular website without having to type in the full address. If you want to clear the website list in the location bar, however, here are the steps.

* Consider the browser. First of all, you should know that each browser functions a little bit differently from the other. There are many types of browsers today. In the past, most computers came with only Internet Explorer for PCs, while Macintosh computers had the Safari. Today, however, there are third party browser makers that allow you to download and use their web browsers for free, such as Google and Mozilla, which have the Chrome and the Firefox web browsers respectively. When it comes to settings, most have the same options, but usually come in different names. Familiarize yourself with the options and the settings in your browser so that you know how to manipulate them.
* Go to Preferences, Settings, or Options. Basically, you will need to access the settings, preferences, or the options dialog box in the web browser. You can usually find them by clicking on the buttons on the upper part of the web browser screen labeled as File or Preferences. In Google Chrome, there are only symbols that you rely on. The picture of the wrench is where you can access the settings.
* Clear Private Data. Open the settings dialog box. Here, you should find a couple of tabs where you will have several options, such as changing the plug-ins and apps that are installed n the web browser, as well as general features of the browser such as its appearance. You will also find Privacy or Details tab. click on this and then click on the Clear button, which will remove your private data, your browsing history, the saved Internet address in your browser, et cetera. Keep in mind, however, that once you have deleted the saved browsing information, it cannot be retrieved.
* Prevent data storage. After you have done this, the next step is to prevent the web browser from storing additional information. On the same tab in the same dialog box, you will usually find a checkmark with the option of preventing the web browser from storing further data. Click on this, so that you will no longer have to delete the browsing information in the future. Or, you can configure the browser so that it automatically clears that history and the cache every time you close the program.

Whether you simply want a clean-looking location bar in your web browser, or you are concerned about the information that is stored, these steps should help you delete the stored website addresses in the location bar.
