How To Speed Up Uploading to Flickr

Flickr is one of the most popular photo sharing sites in the world today. With Flickr, you can upload your photos to the Internet and share them with family, friends, and anyone else who has access to the Internet. If you love taking photographs with Flickr, however, the upload process can be very slow, especially if you are uploading the photographs through the website itself. Here’s some ways for you to be able to speed up the upload process in Flickr.

* Download the Flickr Uploader. For most Mac users and Windows users, you have the option of downloading the Flickr. Uploader. This uploader is a program that you can download straight from the Flickr website. Once you have downloaded the program, you can install it and then use it to manage and eventually upload your photographs to Flickr. One of the best things about the Flickr Uploader is that it works for most platforms – whether you are operating a computer on Mac or Windows – and it works for most versions of these operating systems. It also allows you to add tags and descriptions for your photographs before you upload them to Flickr.
* Try jUploader. Mac and Windows, however, are not the only two operating systems available today. If you are running a computer with the Linux operating system, you can download the jUploader. The jUploader is specifically designed for Linux, and allows you to upload photos not just on Flickr, but on other image storage sites as well, such as Zooommr. JUploader allows you to process your photos in batches, so that you can add tags, captions, and descriptions to entire sets of photos before uploading them.

* Vista Flickr Uploader. The Flickr Uploader, however, does not work for Windows Vista operating systems. If you are running a Vista computer, you can download the Vista Flickr Uploader. This works the same ways as the regular Flickr Uploader, but is especially designed for Vista. Again, you can add titles, captions, and tags to your photographs using this program, even before you upload the photos to the web.
* FlickrSync. Finally, you should also consider installing the FlickrSync program. This is a synchronization program that allows you to both upload copies of your images to Flickr, but still retain the original images in your hard drive. This is particularly useful for people who don’t use Flickr as a storage website, but simply as a way to display their photographs to the public. With the FlickrSync, all of the photographs in specified folders will automatically be uploaded to the Internet. The program does this by creating Flickr sets, which are basically the folders in your computer that Flickr will regularly look into to check for new content. If there are new images, it will be uploaded to your Flickr account.

Keep in mind that you will need a Flickr account when using any of these uploading and syncing programs. With these steps in mind, you should be able to easily upload your photos with as little time as possible.
