How To Edit the Link Section in a Blogger Template

Learn how to edit the link section of your blogger template and you can share links to websites and web pages in the Links section of your blog site. Your followers can click on the links to see the webpage you recommend they check out.

1. Go to your Blogger Account. Use your log in information to sign in to your Blogger account. You created your log in information when you created your account with Blogger. If you already have an account with Google, such as a Gmail account then you can automatically sign in to Blogger. You can change your Personal Settings and change the password you use for your Blogger account.

2. Customize template. When you log in to your Blogger account, your home page will display your recent activity like the last post you created. At the top right hand corner, locate and select the “Customize” link that would enable you to make changes to your Blogger template. You can also get to the same customization page by going to the “Dashboard” and clicking the “Layout” option under the manage blogs heading.
At the customization page there are tabs for Posting, Settings, Layout, and Monetize. Select the “Layout” tab which will enable you to add and arrange page elements on your blogger template. You can add or change the elements in the boxes and rearrange them in the template. When you place your cursor on top of a box and if it changes into a cross that means you can move the box to a different position. To change the elements in the boxes, click the “Edit” option at the lower right corner of the box. Another window will appear and this is where you add or change elements.

3. Add and edit link. Look for the “Add Links” or “Links” box in the Layout page. Click the “Edit” option in the lower right corner to open the configuration window. You can now place links in this section or change the link if it needs to be updated. Go to the website or webpage you want to share in your blog and copy the URL (Universal Resource Locator). Go back to the Links configuration window and place the URL in the Links box by clicking CTRL and V on your keyboard which will paste the copied URL. Place the link within the HTML code:

Something

Change the word “Something” with the name of the site or the title of the webpage. This is the only word that will appear in the Link box and the URL will be hidden. Close the Link configuration window by clicking on the “Save” button. Click the “Save” button on the Layout page and then view the changes the changes you made. Test the link to see if it works.
