How To Use iWeb to Make a Website

Making a website is never an easy thing to do. With so many factors that you have to take into consideration, it is not a wonder why most people feel that creating websites is best left to the professional hands of graphic artists and web designers. Thankfully, that is not the case anymore. Nowadays, building a website is as easy as A-B-C! All you need to have is a Mac book and tons of imagination!

Do you want to know how to make a website using your Mac book? If so, then read on to find out how.

* iWeb. iWeb is a program installed in your Mac book that specializes in website making. It is very easy to use and understand. Follow the steps below.
o Turn on your computer. Wait for system to boot up. Look for iWeb among the other programs that will populate on your desktop. Click icon to open.
o Once inside, navigate the FILE tab and select the NEW SITE option. Doing so will allow you to create your very own webpage. Notice the templates that will be shown as well. Feel free to check these templates until you find one that you deem right. If you would rather work on a blank canvass, simply choose BLANK.
o Open the INSPECTOR option. To do this, simply click the “I” located on the lower right side of the screen. Tick off the DISPLAY NAVIGATION MENU.
o You are now almost ready to design your website. Begin by deleting the line that iWeb has automatically made. Know that you can edit this too. Focus on the NAVIGATION tab next. Figure what you want to include in it. Use the text box to write the options down. Once done, see how it will look like by playing around with the page layout. Take your time while doing this.

o When you are done with the NAVIGATION tab, it is now time to add pages for each of its icons. To do this, simply HOLD the CONTROL key and tick anywhere on the sidebar. Add a new page for the icons on your main menu by selecting the NEW PAGE option from a list that will appear when you click on the side.
o To merge the new pages with the NAVIGATION menu, simply click on a text box on the menu and open the INSPECTOR again. Choose the ENABLE AS HYPERLINK option this time. Choose LINK TO from among the list and select ONE OF MY PAGES. Once done, designate a page by clicking one of the pages you have added in the navigation menu. Repeat procedure until all pages have been assigned accordingly.
o Now that you are done with the technical part, it is now time to concentrate on the fun side of website making! Start by choosing a page from the navigation menu and customize it to your liking. Add pictures to it by simply dragging the images from your folder to your navigation menu. You can change its colors and even build your very own song list too. As mentioned above, iWeb is very user-friendly so you will not have a hard time navigating it.


And there you have it! A website you single-handedly created and designed! Just remember to save all changes that you do and make use the UNDO button with caution. That way, you do not end up doing the same work again! Have fun!
